OUR MISSION

We the management and staff of Al-Azhar Paarl recognize that education is a fundamental human right and hereby pledge our full commitment to provide the administration, facilities and education to our pupils with the ultimate object of educating our pupils. 

The ultimate object of educating our pupils is develop them into good and righteous individuals who will try at all times to lead a happy and fruitful life in this world through submission to the will of the Almighty and be aspired through good deeds to achieve the spiritual happiness in the hereafter.  We also wish to place on record that although we distinguish between religious and secular education, we provide an education based on WCED regulations.

• To provide an environment where learners will gain an excellent and creative learning experience in cooperation with the parents.

ACADEMICS

Our Syllabi

Western Cape Education Department (WCED)

The secular education as prescribed by WCED is a prerequisite for learners in SA to enter any university and technikon to equip themselves with a degree and or diploma to enter the job market. We also teach according to the prescribed Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS Curriculum).

Boland Islamic Council (BIC)

Set Islamic values and strong faith. Provide them with an understanding of the Quran and advance knowledge of Islam. This ensures that they know the boundaries as prescribed by Allah and live their lives accordingly.

In 2019, Iqraa Trust Donated R245 000 to the Al Azhar Institute of Paarl towards the establishment of a computer centre, renovations of the schools science lab, upgrading of the ECD playpark and purchase of equipment for the School. The new computer centre will enable learners to gain an understanding of Information Technology, using the internet and networking. It will empower learners with computer skills and also help sustain their interest in Information Technology as they progress to higher levels of education. The science lab will make science accessible, exciting and easy to understand. It will help the school to achieve better results in science as students will be able to experiment the various branches of science such as biology, chemistry, electricity and physics.


In 2019, The Al-Azhar Institute of Paarl received a donation of a 20-seater vehicle, valued at R541 000. The donation was made by the South African Muslim Charitable Trust (SAMCT), an organisation established in 2008 to act as a conduit for the provision of funding assets, services and other resources to approved public benefit organisations. Since its creation, the Trust has made significant donations towards poverty alleviation, empowerment, community upliftment and sustainability programmes throughout the country. This generous donation towards The Al-Azhar Institute of Paarl would make it possible for learners to go on educational tours, cultural excursions and trips to sporting events.
